Is the MRI safe — is there any radiation?

Yes — a whole-body MRI is safe and uses no radiation at all. This is one of the key differences from other imaging methods such as X-rays or CT scans, which do involve ionising radiation.

Instead, the MRI works with magnetic fields and radio waves to produce its images. That means you can have a comprehensive check-up without any radiation exposure.

Throughout the scan, our medical team stays in contact with you and is always available to answer questions or offer support.
